I was very happy with my visit to the clinic! The staff was friendly and Dr. Rupi was very helpful with my pet rat.

Dr. Rupi was helpful in taking an x-ray of my puppy after something got stuck in his intestine but when he did a blood test he said he couldn't operate because something in my puppies blood was too low and he would die if he did the surgery. So he sent me all the way to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph because he said they were government funded and would do a blood transfusion and surgery that was affordable. I got all the way to Guelph and they told me they were actually not cheap at all (surgery would be 4-5 thousand and the transfusion would be another $1500) AND they told me my puppy was not actually a candidate for a blood transfusion because his blood stats were in fact not as bad as Dr. Rupi had said they were. By the grace of god during that visit the Guelph vet ran into a vet that owned the Animal Hospital of Cambridge who said I could go there to have the surgery done at a more affordable price and they did the surgery yesterday morning and my puppy is now doing great and recovering well. Hadn't it been for the fast and wonderful work of the Animal Hospital of Cambridge my puppy would have become septic and died. I am thankful to the Hamilton Road Animal Hospital for getting this process started but if the cards hadn't of lined up the way they did in Guelph my puppy would have unnecessarily died.

I feel as though Rupi is taking advantage of the love we have for our pets. He can usually tell by the way the animal looks (well groomed, smell ect.) and the way the owner presents themselves. I am well aware of psychology. A simple issue should not cost over 200, he just makes a list of things you don't actually need and could probably buy cheaper at the pet store accept antibiotics, but of course you will buy it there. I am a little disappointed. The location of the office is not in any position to charge that much for one simple issue. I gave two stars because he does have a very friendly staff. Thank you.

Dr Avapal diagnosed my Dane puppy correctly and quickly and was transparent about the disease my little big guy was suffering from including the prognosis. The vet tech (can't remember his name) was awesome as well - definitely a caring and kind individual. Overall very impressed with this clinic....
