Stayed at the Westin 2 minute walk and had a great workout. I will be back when I am in Montreal again.

I have to be honest… I was a little sceptical at first. You hear so much about the dangers of "boot camp" training but was always curious about it. And we all know that trying a “new gym” is kinda like trying sushi for the first time. If you try a 2 star restaurant vs a 5 star restaurant chances are, you’ll l NEVER try it again. Even worse, every time you hear someone mention sushi. You ‘ll be reminded about the night you spent sleeping in your bathroom.... ugh ...

So yeah … “first time” matters for sure . So when a friend invited me to try out Epix, I said ...why not.

Especially after weeks of the same "work out" routine. I knew that I had reached my plateau and thought, this might be EXACTLY what I needed to get me over the hump and back into gaining some more strength.

Did it work? Definitely !!!

I took the 9:30 AM class, 3 hrs before my "usual" workout . That in itself, was a challenge . Yet i have to admit, it was the perfect combination of Cardio and strength training . I haven't pushed myself that HARD in months and it's EXACTLY what I needed.

The instructor was a perfect combination of motivation and humour, which I liked. Because at the end of the day, if you aren't having fun ..what's the point right ? He was also attentive and made sure that I didn't push myself too hard since years of sports had killed my knees .

So am I still sceptical? No .. what can I say, I landed on a 5 star and happy I did.

What a great workout! The group classes are designed to be challenging and appropriate for all fitness levels. Instructors guide sessions where each participant selects the weight, speed or intensity at which to perform the exercises. Group training is great for keeping your motivation high and to keep you coming back. And the place is always spotless: clean facilities, showers, and towels.
