This is the closest pub to where we live, so are somewhat obligated to go there as we like to go out! The food is good and service is friendly and we enjoy the atmosphere. However I think it's silly to have waitresses wearing those outfits...they don't wear that sort of thing in real Irish pubs! Also their food is overpriced and I have compared their menu to the Donnelly Group menus for a reference. And please stop putting green food dye in your whipped cream...the dessert plate looks massacred :(.

Always love to go here for lunch. Great views of the marina. Love their burgers and Caesar salad. Would not recommend their fish and chips.

Carlos O'Bryan's is one of the best pub restaurants in Nanaimo. They have a huge assortment of beverages to choose from, including daily specials. Their prime rib is, hands down, the finest in the Nanaimo region and is available every night. I just order the biggest one and take leftovers home. They have a great dessert selection as well. I particularly enjoy their mud pie mocha ice cream cake with chocolate flakes. It's addictive. To be fair, everything they serve looks great. The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. My only complaint would be that I can't bring my youngest son for dinner here when he visits as he is still a minor, and that is simply due to the BC laws, so I can't really hold that against them.
Carlos O'Bryan's Prime Rib just keeps improving. They have a new Yorkshire pudding that is bigger and better. They always change up their veggies, which next to never happens anywhere else and they are always on point. Tonight was Spaghetti Squash with snow peas and Parmesan. Their mud pie mocha ice cream cake with chocolate flakes never disappoints. An outstanding meal with exceptional service.

I come here fairly regularly and the food is good every time. There is a GREAT selection of alcohol as well. Good place to come for dinner or to have a good time with a large group.

Oh the Pachos!! They are SO awesome! This is by far our favorite pub on the island and we drive about an hour and a half just to eat here! The staff are super nice! They also have a dock for boaters who wanna come in and eat. Awesome place for food and drinks!! 😊
