“I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and obvious love for her career. I was close to sleeping during the massage and facial' I will be back!”

“The spa is in an old heritage home in Whitby, so not the typical glass and chrome esthetics, however, warm and comfortable and totally relaxing experience. I already plan to return. ”

My experience was truly awful. I purchased a groupon for a great price which was supposed to include a microdermabrsion session, 45 minute facial, 45 minute massage and 45 minute pressure point foot treatment.
First of all the place is hard to find. It is in a large old house, that has clear signage for other businesses that are within but not this one. The house it's self is in ill-repair. There was no receptionist so I was free to wander about the house as I liked. There was opera music playing loudly somewhere.
The office for "rejuvenation heath and wellness spa" is simply a small room tucked in a corner of the old house. There is a hand written sign on the door and one single chair outside the door, which serves as the "waiting room" for all other businesses in the narrow hall.
My appointment was for 12:00 and I arrived at 11:45. From the time of my arrival until when Natalie emerged at 12:10; loud gossiping about private lives could be heard coming from the small room. Natalie is the soul owner and operator of this spa.
We started with the "massage." This woman can CLEARLY never received any sort of training on massage. For 45 minute she rubbed coconut oil onto my back and neck. She did not ask me if I had any area I would like her to focus on, nor did she focus on any one area. It was quick, circular movements sweeping across my whole back for 45 minutes; the way you would apply sunblock to a friend. Furthermore, She had long nails that scratched my skin as she did this. The add said nothing about "full body" massage and so I was surprised when she began "massaging" my legs and arms.
Next was the "pressure point foot treatment". Before we started she explained it as though it were to be an acupressure treatment and told me there were many points in the feet that correspond to other parts of the body. However, she never asked me if I had any problems or health concerns she would target with this. She simply rubbed coconut oil on my feet for 45 minutes and finished up with a few random pokes to the bottom of my feet. Again, this woman has clearly never studies acupressure.
Lastly was the facial and micro. She did not ask me if I had any skin concerns, or what kind of facial I wanted. She washed my face and applied a sticky mask to it. Then she ran the old microdermabrasion machine. She preformed the micro with the mask still on my face! It seemed to operate regularly for a few minutes and then the machine stopped shooting crystals. It seemed to me that the machine was clogged with residue, but she continued to run the suction over my face.
After this, she rubbed coconut oil all over my face for about 15 minutes. She followed this with a face mask. All the while, she never explained to me what she was doing or told me what products she was using.
I have never been so unimpressed with a "spa" experience in my whole life.

I made the appointment on line, confirmed when I received the confirmation e-mail and even checked the on-line profile for the date and time. I arrived 15 minutes early and waited. And waited. And waited. I knocked on the door several times and even called 8 times, no answer for both. Natalie did not show up. This was a Groupon gift and once I left, I got on the phone for a refund. I would not go back, even if the services were free. Beware.

I live in Bowmanville but work in Toronto and I always get my nails done in Toronto after work. I had a week off and thought this spa has been around for awhile so I will try it out since its close to home. So I decided to try it. First of all, they offered water in a jug that had lemons in it. There were no cups, so I asked for a cup. The lady gave me a glass that "just came out of the dishwasher" it was DISGUSTING! dirty, nasty cup. I could still see lip prints on the rim. Of course I didn't have a drink. I couldn't even have a seat because there was pet hair EVERYWHERE! It was like going to someone's house who had a big dog. Vacuum or clean it up. UNPROFESSIONAL! I got a pedicure, which was done by an inexperience lady who had NO clue what she was doing! She didn't trim my cuticles, all she did was file my nails and that wasn't even done nicely. She put some scrub on my legs and did a quick rub then told me to put my feet back in. She didn't wash the scrub from my legs. Then she put on polish - again wasn't done right, you could see my nail under the polish, I had to ask her to put more polish on. Then came my shellac manicure, firstly they had a POOR selection of shellac colors. My manicure consisted of her filing my nails for about 10 minutes then pushing my cuticles down when they were dry and hard - it was painful, they didn't soak my hands like a proper manicure procedure. This lady did NOT know how to do shellac. IT WAS HORRIBLE! I had thick polish at the tips of my nails. By this time I just wanted to leave and NEVER look back. My shellac came off a few days later didn't even make it to 1 week! This spa needs a wake-up call on customer satisfaction. It needs business management skills.
I do not recommend getting your nails done here! Better go somewhere else
