They seem to have gotten skimpy on the wine flights. Went here back in the summer and received a larger portion in each glass for the flights. Having just visited again it seemed the pricing was $13.95-$16.95 per wine flight (same as before) with about 1.5 ounces in a glass. Not really worth it. The beer flights however are on par with other establishments offering the same.

One of the best wine bars I've ever been too. The bar has a HUGE selection of wine and beers and the staff are super friendly and knowledable. The venus offes a bunch of wine flights which is great if you're looking to try new wines. Will definitely come again when visiting Ottawa!

Really enjoyed our 'jazzy' night out. The flights of wine were well presented. The good was pretty good too! Will definitely return.

5* for the endless options of wine & beer. We come here often for that very reason - plus I love that you can get flights of wine/beer.
You quickly forget that you are in a basement - this bistro is quaint and has lots of character, the atmosphere is always festive. The service has always been remarkable, the servers are knowledgeable about wine and liquor.
I've eaten here once, I greatly enjoyed the cheese tortellini. The cheese-grape combination is perfect! We also got to enjoy the live jazz music and it made for the perfect evening. The crab cakes are highly recommended.

Only 3 stars bc my shrimp and scallop meal was very bland. It mainly consisted of peppers, onions and mushrooms. There was little taste to the seafood. And I only got 3 scallops.

On the upside, the beer and wine menu is excellent, providing they have what you want. My first choice of beer, Amsterdam 3 Speed they were out of.
