Great vibe and friendly staff. Waitress took the time to explain the history of the building and what remianed from the fire. Had the clam chowder soup and it was fantastic. Service was a bit slow but there was a conference crew in attendance so it was very busy. Their brewry was very good. I had the IPA and it was delicious. Others had the red ale and enjoyed it as well.

YellowBelly is a good place to go for a drink or an informal meal with friends. While it's pub grub, it's very good pub grub. They brew their own beers and they are very drinkable. It's a popular spot so expect it to be crowded in the evenings or at lunch time (or brunch time on the weekend).

THE BEST!! So many lovely experiences in one joint (pub floor, speak easy floor, dining room floor and more)! The fish, chowder, muscles, fries, gravy and pizza are all to die for. We ate at another highly rated restaurant last night and were grossly disappointed with the overpriced, over cooked food. We could not wait to get back to eat and drink at Yellow Belly Brewery! Thanks for making our meals memorable in St John’s (on Thanksgiving)!🍻

The buffalo chicken and blue cheese pizza tasted delicious. Local brewed beers were not fancy products, but well made and tasty. I didn't like the homemade cider though as it had a strong medicinal aroma and flavor. Service was quite long too. Otherwise I had a great time visiting this place for diner and a couple of brews.

We went on the Saturday before we returned to Toronto. The servers especially Megan tried to make us feel at home and left us a giggle on our receipt so we would not forget her! Lovely staff! Loved the pizza and pasta and would recommend making reservations just because its so popular with beer enthusiast. thanks to making the end of our Newfoundland visit such a wonderful happy ending. Cheers!~
