It’s ranked the top romantic restaurant of 2017, it’s really nice atmosphere for dating. Service is a really attentive. We enjoyed the appetizers rather than main courses.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times taking large family groups or a couple of friends to dinner when I am in Toronto. I like the ambiance and location. The food is OK. I will never be going back to BLU Ristorante. I made a reservation by phone for a large family group for dinner last night. I confirmed the reservation by phone twice this past week before the day of our reservation. We arrived at 6 PM the time of our reservation. At 8:15 PM a server came over, presented me with the check and told us we had to leave because there were people waiting at the door to come in. The server claimed there were 2 seatings for dinner and our time was up. At no time did anyone at the restaurant tell me on the phone we could only stay 2 hours. As well, in all the times I have taken family and friends here no one has ever mentioned 2 dinner seatings. I was very angry because I had just arrived from abroad and had not seen my family for 2 years. Then just as we were enjoying ourselves we were asked to leave!

Cozy, classy with great chef and live music. A little overpriced, but I guess it's the area. Overall nice experience.

The service is good, but the food is not. The steak I ordered (medium) was burned, and you can taste it. The octopus was a very small portion, and not really seared. The endive salad does not have endive in it. They have a good wine list and courteous staff. But, that's not enough. They need a qualified chef. And, the music entertainer should not quit his day job.

I absolutely loved this place! I was so impressed with their cocktail and dinner menu and the service was amazing. Their food is impeccable and I cannot wait to go back. I started with a kale salad and wow, it was a bed of kale. I then had the seafood platter and devoured it within minutes. To finish I had their parfait, at first I was skeptical but as it was better and better with each and every bite. They ran out of their chocolate espresso cake, which is one of the reasons of me going here however everything was top notch. I was definitely suggest this place if you are venturing around town and want something close!
