Good food but too simple a selection of food items. Sometimes non-red meat eaters can get dissappointed.

I went with two friends to Simple Bistro tonight to try out their fixe prix menu. The selection turned out to be much greater than what was posted on the website. The food was quite good -although I barely had any goat cheese in my salad, but I was not impressed in the least with the noise level and how the staff handled a rowdy table of patrons.
There were 6 people in the table behind us, who had drunk large quantities of wine. They kept getting louder and louder, to the point that some of them were being completely obnoxious. My head started pounding and I couldn't hear what my friends were saying they were so loud. As our glaring stares were getting no results, I went to speak to one of the staff at the bar to request that he politely ask the table to lower their volume. His response was to turn down the music. I don't even remember hearing music because the table was so loud.
When I asked the waiter if he could ask the table to kindly quieten down, he told me that he could not do so. I was not impressed. Apparently the dining experience of the other patrons in the restaurant was not important enough to the staff at Simple Bistro to ask the table of 6, who outnumbered our table but not the rest of the patrons, to be respectful of the other patrons and quieten down the noise level.
I have been to Simple Bistro numerous times for brunch and have never had any noise issues, but the noise level tonight was unbearable. While the food was good it was not worth the massive headache I came home with. I will NOT be going to Simple Bistro for dinner again.
