The man who runs the counter, and suspect the whole restaurant is pleasant and friendly. The food is delicious and quick, although it is all a little greasy. I would go here over any fast food joint. Try the yucca fries.

I just moved to the neighbourhood and was delighted to find a vegan-friendly restaurant in the area.
I'd never tried an arepa before so didn't know what to expect. It was delicious! The arepa (similar to bread) is somewhat crispy outside and soft inside. I had the avocado salad filling -- which was perhaps the best avocado salad i've ever had. The arepa is still warm when you recieve it, and that contrasted nicely with the cool avocado salad filling (though other fillings are hot). When I got home I immediately looked up the recipe for arepas. But I don't know if I'll be able to recreate the high quality they provided.
Service was fast, almost as fast as a fast food restaurant - yet there's no waiting in line, so overall it was faster. It's a family run business and everyone was very friendly and also helpful in answering my questions about the menu (I'm vegan so I had questions about ingredients).
When I first saw the arepa I was disappointed by its size (smaller than expected), but it's surprisingly filling so it's a small complaint.
Somehow the arepa managed to combine the best of both worlds: as tasty and satisfying as junk food / comfort food yet with fresh, healthy ingredients and a homecooked taste.
