We saw a preview of Sweet Virginia which will be released on December 1, 2018. ..a brilliant character study of a sociopath with no redeeming qualities until we see a flicker of humanity when he makes a small unexpected connection with the likeable manager of a motel. The film's director, Timmons native, Jamie Dagg was on hand for an enlightening Q &A with the audience after the screening.

I love how minimalist this venue is. I don't like going to big box movie theaters as they are starting to look more and more like casinos... too many bells and whistles. TIFF Bell Lightbox makes the movie experience, just what it should be. I've stopped going to the big theaters and I cringe when I have t go with friends but I always look forward to going to TIFF Lightbox. Oh and the staff here are so much more professional than those other mainstream theaters.

Indifferent towards the disabled. Last Saturday I went to see a film at the TIFF Bell Lightbox. I missed the film because I circled the theater for one hour, looking for a place to park: I am on a walker, cannot walk well, and require close proximity parking. When I finally managed to park and get to the ticket counter, I told the young man working there about my mishap and asked if he had suggestions regarding where a disabled out-of-towner like me could park. The worker was thoroughly dismissive--even contemptuous--of my question, of my suggestion that the TIFF Bell Lightbox post on its website information regarding where disabled patrons might park, and of my request that he pass my request onto management.

Awesome place to share drinks with friends and head out to the best movies. Saw the story of the real wonder women who inspired Wonder Woman the comic book character this evening. A beautiful touching story of unconventional love.

Wonderful cinema. Truly world class. Selection of film showings is excellent. Art films that the art crowd will attend. Several things are well thought out. Sound. Lighting. Spacing of seats. Air. Washrooms. Pop corn.....small amount of salt. Five cinema halls under one roof. Toronto deserves such a space. Large percent of funding comes from an interested membership. Tiff has set an example for the film world to measure up to.
