My experience at this public school was terrible and I profoundly regret not switching to another place. First off the classrooms have no windows and are located at the centre of the building with hallways on the outside which made for dreary classroom sessions. It was a working class neighborhood when I attended and the school greatly emphasized courses such as French, Italian and Dramatic Arts instead of courses where one could actually learn something useful and hope to put food on the table. The Dramatic Arts class was taught by a Ms. Sinclair who is along with the content of that program a despicable waste of tax payer dollars. This program offers nothing to prepare anyone for anything. This school and most of the staff scream out reasons why teachers unions should not have a stranglehold monopoly on what is such an important component of a persons success. I will let readers source the front page of the Toronto Star dated March 24th 2001 to form an opinion of Mr. Ventura. While searching my old year books I have now discovered that Mr. Ventura coached the boys swim team. Great job public system!! The worst of the worst however was Ms. Sinclair, she is in my opinion a complete disgrace to teaching and a degenerate of a human being. A special hello also to my old gym teacher Mr. Mergelas, I think you did a lousy job. Mr. Low was constantly uptight and miserable but will not elaborate as to why as I do not want issues with the PC police.
I did though have great times with my many friends and fondly cherish those memories. Mr. Nowlan you were one of the best teachers I ever had and were truly gifted at teaching high school students. You are the reason this school gets two stars instead of negative 1000. I attribute some of the modest success I have achieved with your classes. I hope you quit smoking! Mr. Henderson a class act and very respectful person as well as a good teacher. God bless all these former alumni.

The teachers are nice and the former principal Mrs Abernethy is a very caring woman, she always like to help kids in need of help.
