Very nice atmosphere. I like this hotel over others in the area. If you have time go to the spa! It's always an absolutely amazing experience. The pool is impeccable as well.
Also a great place for afternoon tea with friends. High tea however is traditionally what workers would have after a long day of hard labour in Britain. But I guess it's used interchangeably now because it sounds fancier. They even capitalize 'High Tea' lol

There was a snake in our room! We managed to throw it on the balcony. When we complained to the hotel they said they didn't believe us and asked for proof!
I'm not Crocodile Dundee so I can't just grab a snake and take it to the management office. Or sit down and take photos of it while I scream in horror.
The way management handled this situation was absolutely horrible. Asking guests for proof and not doing anything about a snake being on their beds! All they did was offer to buy us a drink. Yes because next time there's a reptile in my bed that martini will really come in handy. Shameful.

Went for High Tea. The lobby is the area reserved for it so it's not like a secluded lounge to relax. Though it is indeed very well decorated. The staff was helpful but our waitress was not. Tea and food was ok at best. I would recommend somewhere else if you're planning to converse and relax for high tea.

This is a great hotel. Everything about it is delightful, however I have to say that my previous experience at this hotel was much better than this one. The service has slipped a little since I was there last; 2 yrs ago. Last time I arrived in a much less flashy car and from the moment the valet greeted me and took my keys to the moment I left, every single member of the staff I encountered went above and beyond to make sure I knew that they cared about me and my wife having the best experience possible.
This time, the restaurant staff, the room service attendant, the front desk agents all did a great job. The hotel is still beautiful, but there are some things that are slipping even with the physical aspect of the hotel. Not much though! It's still a million miles above a four star hotel. I just wish that my experience the second time was better than the first time, instead of the other way around.

The hotel is very well run. Service is 5 star. Beautiful rooms with a gorgeous bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows with electric drapes. Your every need is catered for. The staff are more than helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Pool is really peaceful and relaxing. We couldn't have wished for a more wonderful stay
