I would write a 5 star review if it weren't for how my body reacted to the wax. I got my legs and stomach waxed the evening before my trip to Mexico. Kathleen offered quick and very friendly service. The only thing I would change is to possibly receive more assistance with the excess wax clean up. I was left to use the after wax lotion to remove the leftover bits of wax myself and I do not think I did it properly (which may be why I have had a bad reaction to the wax).
Shortly after landing in Mexico I noticed my legs and stomach were extremely itchy. It turns out my skin had an allergic reaction to the wax, especially in the spots where I may not have cleaned my skin off so well. So now my trip is not so enjoyable because I am itchy and uncomfortable :( (and unfortunately my allergy medication hasn't been helping too much). I'm hoping the hives go away soon but it's been 3 days with almost no improvement. I'm not sure if having had help cleaning off the wax would've prevented this or if I'm just allergic to something in the wax that was used. Now I'm wishing I had just decided to shave :(

I was recommended by a friend to here for waxing as it was my first time waxing. This salon has it all figured out! Booked an appointment online for a next day service (had plenty to choose from) and got a confirmation email within minutes. When I arrived at the salon I was early and was greeted and offered anything to drink which is always a nice touch. Within a couple of minutes I was told the earlier appointment was running late and so I was able to get in early. My wax service and technician was clean, professional, polite and friendly. It was done within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend coming here and seeing Ashley!

I mostly go for the bikini/leg waxing here and I love getting it done with Tania. I hate getting waxed, mostly because I don't like being in a room having hair ripped off with a stranger, (call me crazy!) but Tania makes it easy, fast and as fun as possible. Her work is amazing too - I've been to a lot of places where I didn't love the job done, but Tania's work is great. I don't get as many in-grown hairs with her, my skin doesn't feel as abused with her and she has recommended some great products that help with after-care.

I made an appointment online and noted the very clear customer cancellation policy. Five minutes before my appointment I received a phone call that the aesthetician had not shown up to work and my appointment was cancelled. If I had cancelled my appointment five minutes before the scheduled time I would've been charged full price for my service. When I commented that five minutes notice seemed disrespectful, I was told the next time I came in I would be given a discount. I'm not sure why this wasn't stated before I complained. Clearly The Ten Spot does not value customer relationships.

Within two hours of posting the above review, I was contacted by the owner (as seen below) and the manager. A much more suitable resolution was provided. I am led to believe that my initial experience was an anomaly. Thus, I have changed my review from 1/5 to 4/5.
