We have had recurring problems with our cat that required special care at the VEC. Everyone from reception, to techs, to vets have all treated us so well. They have taken the time to chat with us in the middle of the night or whenever we have questions or let us give a huge long history for everyone to be on the same page. We are very grateful for the care given at the VEC.

Saved our cat's life. Need I say more. Great doctors and caring assistants. Not cheap, but the best ICU I know of.

After an extremely long wait time, they 5-min chat with the doctor was rushed. They would rather sedate (despite the possible negative effects) an animal than give it a chance to calm down. When I came to pick up my pet, they just gave me a paper and I had to wait another 15 minutes to ask the doctor some questions about the instructions for which the reception was not happy about. They put a cone on my pet for no reason and charged me for it (which they didn't even put on properly, it was too big). All that, to bill me $300 for something I could have done at home. Waste of time.

For those times when you need a veterinarian in the middle of the night or on the weekend, this is the best place in the world. And for specialized treatment or care for your beloved pet the best neurologist and other Specialties are available here anytime.

Dr. French was amazing and provided great advice and thoughts on what we should do with our dog's chipped teeth. Nothing negative to say about the doctor we saw or the results of the procedure.

With that said, the rest of the experience was not great. Our initial appointment was at 9:00 AM. When we arrived, after waiting for over 45 minutes, they said they were running late, so we waited an additional hour. At that point, they said we could leave and they will call us back in about 2 hours. We told them we live about 30 minutes away, so we would go home for an hour to eat. As soon as we arrived at our place 30 minutes later, they called us and told us to come back in. We hurried back only to wait around for another 30 minutes or so once we arrived. The receptionist told us multiple times that we should not have come back until they called us (even though they did). Finally, we were admitted to a small room and our dog was given some medication to partially sedate her. We then had to wait around and watch her ourselves for over 30 minutes. Finally, she was admitted and we were able to leave.

They called us later in the day saying that she was ready to pick up. When we arrived, we had to wait around for over an hour AGAIN. Why call us and let her know she's ready if she's clearly not ready?

The receptionists also seemed very rushed and were not the friendliest.
