I used to love Memphis Blues. It was fantastic to be able to go to the original restaurant on Broadway and Grandville and eat fantastically delicious selections of meat and fixins.
The smells, the decor, the food was amazing. Then something happened, It might have been the franchising or the growth but the food is now terrible. the meat is always dry and the fixins are just a wash of too much everything. not tasty, not interesting.
recently i tried again, i called to order my favorite Memphis feast. NO ribs, NO rib ends. what bbq place doesn't have ribs? and i tried at both lower mainland locations. both had none of either.
so i got brisket and ussually i love that but this time it was dry, and the flavor on the outerlayer was bitter and unpleasant.
i guess it has changed and i just wont eat there anymore. i could not recommend this to anyone

Having had true Austin BBQ I can't quite give this 5 stars but given how far north we are these guys do a great job. The brisket was lovely and juicy and the fries were well seasoned and crispy. If 4.5 stars were possible I'd go for that. Great value too I had the combo platter for 25 and it's definitely 2 meals worth.

Ordered the Ribends and Beef Brisket meal it was dry and tough as💩the amount of food served was very😳generous (too bad it sucked) the service was very good and quick. I would not recommend this location i'll stick with Peckinpah (Gastown) for all my BBQ cravngs

Took my six year old nephew for lunch. Had a great time. Excellent service, fantastic food and in my nephew's own words BEST PLACE EVER!!

We used to love this place, but moved quite far away... so we only visit once or twice a year. We picked up take out today and noticed the packaging and helpings were smaller. The fries seemed soggy and they forgot our potato salad. This was probably our last visit. Good memories. Sad end.
