I went here for happy hour with a couple friends.
1) There is no happy hour menu. The bar staff just says "everything is happy hour" and don't provide prices.
2) The two bartenders ignored my guests and I for the duration of our 2+ hour stay, seated at the bar.
3) At 5:48 my beer was 9/10 empty. The bartender had disappeared and returned at 6:04 and when I enquired about getting another happy hour beer he said no, even though he had left his post and also hadn't checked on us for almost 10 minutes prior. He gave me a "better price" but still could have accepted he wasn't serving his guests and given us the appropriate price.
4) We were never asked if we wanted food during our entire stay, nor provided with a happy hour food menu (which I looked at online beforehand and wanted to try).
5) The pub was less than half full on a Wednesday and yam fries took approximately 20 minutes.
6) The poutine was heavily soaked in thick, dark gravy. Maybe a classic style but was unappetizing.
7) The bartenders essentially ignored us the entire night even though we were sitting right in front of them. As a bartender myself, I was appalled at the lack of service. When there are only a handful of people at the wood and a very slow service, you can at least pop by every 5-10 minutes and ask if we would like anything else, especially with empty glasses.
8) I doubt I will ever return. There are always new restaurants/pubs/bars/lounges to try. Skip the New Oxford.

A nice find, with some decent local craft beer, a long bar, a chatty barman and some bar snacks that looked very good indeed. Off the main drag of Yaletown, and probably all the better for it.
