Amazing food and cute quant place! The Pie is a must! My fav is the vegan gluten free chocolate pecan with a scoop of ice cream (coconut bliss or regular). The gluten free doesn't even taste gluten free! I also love the hummus Plate and their soups are to die for!
My only complaint is the service is sometimes quite slow, even when the place is almost empty. I one time waited for over 20 minutes for a tea......but the servers are all very friendly and approachable which makes up for it most of the time.

Paid $8 for a tastless bland small piece of pie that was NOT fresh. What's all the hype about? The girl that took my order was unprofessional and clueless about the menu when I asked for a recommendation since this was my first (and last) time. She also kept pulling up her short shorts and inserting her hands around her waist and touching herself all over the place which is kinda unhygienic and gross. I don't know why Vancouverites exaggerate in their reviews, perhaps to show the world that we're a world class city? Not even close compared to Toronto or Montreal. Anyway, please don't waste your hard earned money here. They also lie about the pies being 100% organic because they use cheap vegetable shortening in the crust and not butter. Want good pie for $3 a piece? Go to Wholefoods.

Delicious, high quality food. Higher priced but fairly priced. Delicious menu items great coffee. Fine service. Great for a casual, classy, slow paced breakfast.

I always feel good when I'm eating at Aphrodite's, I know The owner Peggy, sources the ingredients from local farmers and local sources. One of my favorite dishes is the tofu scramble. They have a great outdoor patio surrounded by lovely flowers. The atmosphere is wonderful on all counts. Local artists are displayed. A great place for breakfast dinner special dates or just because you want to fill your body with goodness. Their homemade breads and pies are second to none. Aphrodite's pie shop is across the street from the restaurant. You can have pies in the restaurant or from the pie shop with a bake all the bread and pies every day. I live across the street so I get to smell all the yummy-ness on a regular basis😋

Ordered a Turkey Pot Pie one fateful night for dinner six years ago, after moving into our new place. Tired and hungry, we dug into the pie, and found ZERO turkey. There was a hint of turkey, the aroma, but we didn't find even a shred of meat. We haven't been back since, and often joke they should have renamed this dish "The Essence of Turkey Pot Pie" Like a fine wine description, one can say it's a full bodied pie, with a generous presence of carrots, peas, and potatoes, and just the subtlest hint of turkey throughout, a whisper, almost haunting...lol.
