This is one of my new favourite restaurants in Vancouver. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owners/staff were friendly. I appreciated its simple decor and non-pretentious vibe. I highly recommend Fassil.

Just ate here for the first time and now it's my new favourite restaurant!
Ordered Fassil's Combo and was not disappointed. Tons of variety and amazing flavours.
Incredibly warm, friendly staff too.
I'll definitely be coming back...probably about once a week.

Our first time eating Ethiopian food. Turns out it's delicious and interesting. Our host made some suggestions from the menu, and was kind, warm and courteous explaining how to use the crepe-like bread to scoop our food from the shared platter. The atmosphere in this little restaurant was 'warm and easy', making for a lovely meal. Before we left the cook came out and asked us how we liked the food. Would highly recommend!

Great restaurant and a fun experience! Definitely should go here with a group that enjoys something different and unique! Food is served traditionally and eaten with your fingers. Everything I have tried here tasted fantastic. The best way to eat is to share and try different dishes for variety. This is a small, intimate location with friendly, good service. They will take the time to give a good overview on how their food is served and eaten and will be happy to make recommendations. I believe it was the owner that also likes to walk around and make sure everyone is happy when he takes a break from cooking. Prices here are also surprisingly cheap, especially when dishes are shared.

Where to begin...this cozy little restaurant is a hidden gem. Doesn't look like much from the street and the decor on the inside isn't impressive but the food, the service and the owners are absolutely fantastic. The owner is the master in the kitchen and his daughter is one excellent server. We had our reservation of 6 people, placed our order and were served the delicious assortment of vegetarian dishes and all the meat variations. We practically cleaned the plates! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning on the regular.
