We were lucky to just walk in and get a seat.
But for what it was worth. It was absolutely amazing experience. Our chef put on an amazing show and was very friendly and personable. Had bad experiences before at other places but this place a must try! Our chef Paul was absolutely the best!!! Very fun and great tasting too!

Very happy I did not base my decision only on the rating. First time at one of this kind of restaurant. Really enjoyed the meal. Had a dinner meal for two. Probably would have burst open with one each
Good food. Loved the ambiance.
Nothing bad to say

Glad I didn't read the reviews before going tonight.
My wife and I had reservations for 7pm. We were running a few minutes late, but we're seated within 2-3 minutes of arrival. We were given menus soon after taking our seats. Our drink orders were taken a couple minutes after that, and came in a timely manner. Our food order was taken shortly thereafter. We had a few minutes to socialize before the chef, Raffy, arrived and started preparing the food. He was jovial and entertaining, yet professional. I ordered the Filet Mignon & my wife ordered steak and tiger prawns. Both our meals were done perfectly - though, I highly recommend the FM over the sirloin steak that came with her meal. The sirloin wasn't bad, but the FM was amazing! I'm not one who typically enjoys dipping sauces with steak, but their sauces were an exception. She said her prawns were possibly the best she's ever had. There was nothing we ate that we didn't thoroughly enjoy. And the service was attentive and polite.
It's not a cheap dining experience. But it was enjoyable enough that we'll be back. In fact, we plan to bring our teenagers with us the next time we come, as we think the experience will stand out for them as well.
As a side note, the couple sitting to the left of us had been there a number of times before. Not sure what she had (it was her birthday), but he apparently always gets the Ultimate. It looked impressive, both in size and variety, and if I wasn't allergic to seafood I'd have probably ordered it. Given that you're seated in close proximity to a half dozen other people, you may or may not be affected by the moods / personalities of those at your table.
Highly recommend.

I love this place, best teppanyaki I have had, we have been here several times. Love their special drinks. Draw backs are the price and it is hard to get additional drinks a lot of the time after your first one unless you track down the server.

I understand that I shouldn't go there from the beginning, there is a tons of great Japanese restaurant in Vancouver, unfortunately I had to go for my family's birthday party... I've never experienced that place called "Japanese restaurant" doesn't respect Japanese cultures. I saw the server wearing Kimono type of uniform totally wrong way. Kimono are always wrapped left side over the right. The only exception is when dressing the dead for burial the right side of the robe is placed on top. It's considered incredibly bad luck to get this wrong. Server looked like the walking dead. It is okay, people make mistakes sometime so I mentioned her that she needs to change it especially serving Japanese customer. But this server gave me words “I KNOW! I KNOW!" then start giving me a nasty look instead of changing the Kimono. She went back to her coworkers and start telling them that what I told her. Right after other servers started looking at me A LOT. And she kept serving us with "walking dead". However, this server came with rice was double surprise. They served rice exactly "funeral" mountain shape in Japan. I won't go back and I don't recommend this place to ANYONE loves Japanese food.
