Expensive!
Most of the stuff like pencils, calculators etc can be found elsewhere for cheaper!
However, the clothing (especially the sweaters) are REALLY nice. Last year I practically lived inside a uvic sweater I bought. Warm and fuzzy

UVic Bookstore is a place where I love to browse for gifts for friends and family. The selection for clothing rocks and I love the huge coil notebooks, I always buy the five course books because of the pockets for holding notes in. They are great for those lecture courses that require lots of writing. The staff are always friendly.
My only peeve is that I don't really like the 'security guards' standing in uniform at the front and following people around, it feels really weird to have 'cops', that look armed, scrutinizing customers. Just leave the uniforms at home, hire more staff, because its intimidating to customers, why would you want that at all?
