My dog would not be home recovinging today if it wasn't for the staff and doctors at VCA. From the moment I walked through the door the kindness and caring was felt. Thank you all for making this traumatic situation much less painful.
I was afraid of what I had heard about the cost of going there. In the end the cost was way less than the original quote. The finally price was only a few hundred more that our personal vet.

My dog got transferred to Central Victoria as my vet thinks my dog would need 24 hour care and I.V. fluid. I took their advice to go to Central Vic but it was horrifying / nightmare experience. The prices are very high, yes but let's put money aside and just talk about life saving! Doctor Havens tried to persuade me to spend thousands of dollars to redo all the tests I had already done at the other animal hospital with my original vet and when I said I can't afford to redo them, she suggested putting down my dog. I requested a blood test to make sure and upon getting the result, she insisted my dog was dying due to all organs failure and asked me to put my dog to sleep right away and if I delayed it, I would have to sign some paper to declare that my action / decision with my dog's life is against her medical advice. BUT it turns out when I took my dog back to my original vet the very same day, they said the blood test results aren't that bad and my dog can be saved..... and now, two weeks after that awful visit at Central Victoria, my dog is now all better and up walking around happily! IF, I had listened to Dr. Havens's medical advice, I would have killed my dog and regretted it and been upset with myself for the rest of my life!! So.....to all of you, if you happen to be advised to put your pets to sleep at Central Victoria, you'd be wise to get a 2nd opinion elsewhere before you make such important decision!

These guys are great. I’ve been there many times with various emergency situations (my dog’s pierced ear drums and bleeding intestines to name two of many visits) ...they’ve been amazing every time. The staff are friendly and compassionate and they’re clear and upfront about the options available and the costs associated with each option. I don’t feel “sold to” It’s more expensive than a normal vet but it’s such peace of mind to know there’s a place I trust to go when something goes wrong, invariably on a weekend or after hours. Recommended.

Called before I took my dog here. Lady was very pleasant and great. The Tech that first saw my dog was wonderful and informative. However, the Veterinarian that assisted afterwords was very cold and not pleasant at all. There seemed to be tons of staff but not a lot of help. They left us in a room for two hours, with out an explanation. This is also a hospital, so it’s NOT first come first serve, it’s based on the injury of the animal. FYI. I feel like they could hav been more accommodating.

Super Impressed! I took my pup in on Sunday afternoon of the Labour Day Long Weekend. A receptionist made eye contact as I was stepping in the door, and asked what they could do to help. My pup was assessed right aways by a technician, then seen by the vet on duty about 20 minutes later. We were checked in to spend the night. This really worried me because I am quite attached to my pup. But I was so happy to hear that I could come in and visit. When I did, I was led back into the 'ward', where I was thoroughly impressed to see how well organized everything was, and how much personal attention (and love!) was being paid to the animals. A large screen television showed, in chart format, all of the in-patients by name, and an hourly 'to do' list for who is to be fed what, medications to be administered, etc, etc. I thought I could care for my pet at home better than any 24 hour hospital could, but I was so wrong! I was so happy to have my pup looked after for a day and a bit, knowing that he was being so well monitored and actually cared for. The 'nurses' at this hospital really do a lovely thing for these animals in distress by caring for them so well. After he began to eat and drink on his own again (a tummy issue we had!) I was able to bring him home. They explained the medications, what to watch for, and all that to me very well, and sent me off a very happy mommy. Yes, there was a price to be paid. But on a the Sunday of a long weekend, I was just so happy to receive such good care for my fur baby, it was OK with me :-) Thank you so much CVVH for your great care of Bentley!
