Waitress forgot about our order, my family and I sat at our table for over an hour while others who arrived there after us were being served their food.
We even asked about our order about 45 mins after sitting there and she responded that our "eggs were being cooked as we speak."
We waited another 30 mins and still no food.. so we stood up. I had the decency to tell the other waitress that we were leaving because 6 other people who arrived there after us had been served their food, when we only had ordered two meals.
I was going to let it go & sit there for another 30 mins if the waitress had just been honest and admitted to forgetting our order.
Pete's Place has great pricing and from my past (better) experience, the food was good quality & quantity.

Delicious as always. Went there before they closed their original location. Hopefully they stay in the area, but there are rumours they're moving to St. James.

Everything here is amazing and made from scratch. Service is great also. What more could you ask for?

Went there before going to Rainbow Stage. Arrived a little after five to be told that we could not order veal, or liver, that they were out of marinara and we could not have soup. Asked if we could get chicken fingers and were assured "no problem" Ordered ice tea only to be told that we couldn't have that either unless we got it in a bottle which meant no refills. 28 degrees outside and they had run out of ice tea. After 15 minutes the waitress comes and says that the chef has burned one order of chicken fingers and could one of us order something else as they are now out of chicken fingers. We did. 15 minutes later another woman comes and tells us now neither of us can have the chicken fingers and we'd have to order something else. By this time we have been there almost an hour Asked what was going on that so much stuff was unavailable and why could they not have told us originally. Woman got all haughty acted like she was doing us a great big favour ALLOWING us to order something else saying they make everything fresh and basically if there is a rush and they run out then tough luck. This was all before 6 pm in the evening. What kind of restaurant runs out of food before 6 pm and what kind of business is so ignorant of the neighbourhood they operate in, to not be aware that Rainbow Stage was showcasing one of the top shows in the world "Mama Mia" and not anticipate the possibility of an increase in business. Even the local McDonald's knows the schedule for the theatre. I felt bad for the waitress but the second woman's attitude was ignorant. We got up and left. Most annoying is the fact that we live in the neighbourhood, try to support the local businesses only to have one so full of itself that it can afford to blow off the money we regularly send their way. Never had such lousy service ANYWHERE.

Great service. Love supporting the small family businesses. Food is amazing. Fresh and huge portions. Come hungry and leave satisfied. A+++, 5☆.
