I'm really upset with how our visit went at machray. My boyfriend brought his cat for the first time. His cat we've noticed was behaving differently for the past couple days, not eating, just being quiet and just hiding away. The vet we spoke to seemed so enthusiastic saying he looked good everything was good except he tested out to have pancreatitis but said that we've brought him in early and at a good time. She said it didn't seem severe because he hasn't been showing any of those signs like vomiting ..so vet suggested overnight stay for iv feed him fluids. She said he should be good to go the next day. But unfortunately the next day they say he has trouble breathing and then had an X-ray done and realized it was a severe case and fluid was getting into his lungs.. and the best suggestion was euthanasia. Like really? It seemed so sudden. They pushed us to believe everything was good. It was a real shocker. We all now sit here filled with "what ifs" and like could they have done something? Have that X-ray before to make sure. Do something? I don't know, I just feel their service wasn't enough. They were lacking. Near a grand pay and to what a suggestion for putting him down. I don't think it was the right option at all bringing him there. Should have gone to pembina.

Brought my dog in because his paw was bleeding and we weren't sure where the blood was coming from. It was a drop-in; they had him for under 5 minutes, rinsed his foot and charged us $56.70.
The doctor wasn't going to charge us but the receptionist asked to do so and the doctor responded with "sure, we can". Wasn't expecting it to be free but price seems hefty when they only washed his foot and the doctor didn't think it warranted a fee initially.
Won't be returning. 2 stars because they were able to see him.

Good friendly service. They had to refer me to a different Vet because they don't do the type of operation that my cat needed BUT they fully explained what had happened to my cat 'Neko' and my file was forwarded to Alpine Animal Hospital. I have a good review of them as well.
