Nice place with plenty of different birds. Amazing stop over experience. I stopped by to rent the yellow bike and tour around guandu temple.

Peaceful getaway from city life enjoying the greens of Taipei. But it's just too hot to visit during summer. At designated time (like 16:30), you can have a guided tour to the swamp nearby.

The birds here are used to human presence and you can get very near for good pictures. The few watch towers provide great opportunities to watch birds without disturbing the skittish, migratory ones like Stilts, ducks etc. The park is a leisurely stroll of about 45 minutes and several hours if you watch birds like I do. It's a good educational experience at the conservatory/administration building where children (and adults) can collect rubber stamp to postmark their journey. Watch courtship behaviour as the mating season dawns upon the birds in March - May. Egrets are in their golden breeding plumage and display dances to attract their mate!
