If i could choose Zero stars i Would Do it right ahead. Apex and also Budget is the worst Company i ever rented from. Their service is horrible, unfriendly and insulting. We didnt get the car we booked so They insisted we have to take a smaller one. We didnt accept so the manager promised us to Pick us up from Our hotel the next morning with a Shuttle and then give us the correct car we booked. We agreed in these terms and went to the hotel. The next morning we wartet desperately for a Pick up which didnt Happen. We took an uber to the rental Place abd when we arrived they still didnt not have our car. Not Helpful at all another Manager asked us whats wrong with us and that we should just take the smaller car (in an aggressive and very disrespectful way) in the end we got a super shity car with disfunctional Breaks and a lot of broke parts. Never in my life will i book a car with this Company again.

Service-minded and no problems using the wifi. Remember to have a large amount of cash on your credit card. They reserve a large amount.

Be careful when you rent from Apex. They will hose you if you let them. Use a credit card that provides insurance and waive any insurance offered by Apex. Drive carefully and don't wreck the car. The cost of the insurance provided by Apex may exceed the price of the rental. Use your cell phone to make a video (with the attendant present in the video) to document any evident damage before you drive off and post it as soon as possible on a social media source such as Facebook. Pay attention to where you pick up the car so that you can find it again when you return the car. The cost of GPS may also exceed the cost of the rental. You can use google maps on your smartphone just as well. Cell phone towers abound in Costa Rica and cell phone internet service is good and inexpensive. There are many places to buy an inexpensive Costa Rican SIM card for your phone. Make another video when you drop the car off so that they don't try to charge you for any damage that you're not responsible for while the attendant is present when you return the car. Allow at least an hour for the time that you arrive at the rental return so that you won't be delayed getting back to the airport.

I have used APEX in December/January 2016. Don't do it. To return the car is very difficult as they are not within the airport and there are no signs anywhere. As I was late and did not have time to navigate in the airport maze I left the car at the airport parking (where all the other rent-a-car are) and, obviously I was charged more. Anyhow they charged me for the GPS which while I took the car was promised for free. When I asked by e-mail for a chargeback (120€) they first answered that they would do it and after 2 months i still got nothing. BETTER TO SPEND A LITTLE BIT MORE BUT GETTING A RELIABLE SERVICE AND BILLING.

I rented a car at their location in Liberia, Costa Rica for two days in December 2015. I know that I didn't make a reservation and that there were no cars available at other rent-a-cars around. However, I think $180.00 a day is way to expensive. Next time I will be sure to avoid them.
