It was a beautiful little place to stay. The street behind the hotel is a little noisy and the showers are colds if there's too many people on your floor, but the breakfast is great and the beds are comfy!

Bugs in the rooms, tiny beds and bathroom. Very small. Staff was very friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. Breakfast is not very good. Would not recommend.

Nice clean standard room. Very nice staff. They arranged early breakfast because I had to get to airport. About 10 minutes to get to airport. I recommend Hotel Eskalima for at least your first and last night in Costa Rica. I stayed 3 nights upon arrival. Situated in vibrant typical Tico town with good connections using public bus. Easy walk to bus terminals.

Great place with friendly staff. Room was clean and simple, everything I needed for my overnight stay.
Breakfast was made fresh and delicious.
Overall the hotel was great value, and clean. Everything I needed, nothing I didn't.
Room air conditioner worked great and solid hot water.
