While the paperwork does take more time than it should, the staff is very courteous and helpful. They picked us up and dropped off. The car was in good condition. Highly recommend it.

Worst experience I've ever received from any company. There have been 2 occasions of similar utter disappointment! The second case (most recent) it was my girlfriends birthday and I was excited to take her on a tour. I booked a car 3 days in advance and when we went to show up they told us they didn't have a car available. They told us to wait 4 hours, and we waited (in 36 degrees heat). Then they told us it was gonna be another 2 hours. After waiting 8 hours total, I could not get in touch with them anymore on the phone. The excited birthday needlessly went into disappointment and frustration.
I'll never deal with Alamo ever in my life again.

The experience was very disappointing. We had an appointment at our hotel reception at 2 pm to return a car. Nobody showed up. After one hour and a half, after trying to reach them (and the global office) by phone and not succeeding, after contacting customer care on Twitter (that was really kind) we discovered that the office was 100 meters from our hotel, we went there and they were just having a break drinking sodas in the back. They told us that they were very busy and that they weren't able to send someone to pick up the car. Crazy. Even if that was true, just a phone call to notify the delay would have been nice. Totally a disaster.

if you plan in reserving a car during the busy season, prepare to be dissapointed. I arrived at alamo after 13 hours of travel from Hawaii only to have the customer service rep tell me my car had been given to someone else because i was late by one hour.
I was forced to rent from someone else at 3 times the price.
Alamo is the company from the Seinfeld episode, they know how to take the reservation, just not hold it.
Try anywhere else, you cant go wrong.
