The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The accommodations are clean and very comfortable, and some of the rooms have a great view of the ocean. The property is across the street from the beach and walking distance from anything you need in town.

Our experience has been fantastic. Reception, room service, restaurant, all great. Our view was gorgeous as well. Other negative reviews may talk about the more basic rooms, however the 4th floor, especially room 401 is really great. A lot of space, we'll maintained, balcony, not one complaint. And you get free equipment for the beach: surf boards, folding chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment - all free. And surf lessons are $25 per person which is very reasonable.

Check-in lasted more than 30mins. The hotel is very old and the pool is very bad maintained. Although the room with ocean view was really nice, it didn't have soap or shampoo; when we asked for some it didn't come until the next day when we had to ask for it again. There is no room Service. The food is not that good. And, finally, we couldn't do check-out early morning because there wasn't anyone capable of doing check-out at 5:30am. Incredible!!! All in all, I sum it up in: bad service, old facilities and not good food.

This place is a joke. Don't stay on Friday night unless you're a party animal. They switched my room complimentary & I won't go into that disaster... not clean, very tiny, unless on level 4. The spectacular views are only from rooms starting with 3 & 4. Yes, it's "technically" across the street from the beach, but you have to walk down 100 stairs to the main street & then walk another 5-15 minutes to a legit beach road to enter the beach. Room service doesn't exist so don't let them tell you otherwise. Anything with chicken...avoid...precooked & frozen, gross, yet they say delicately grilled. Ribeye? Nope, we are out. Cheeseburgers? Nope. Coffee makers in rooms...but byoc! Wine drinker? NO WINE WHATSOEVER. Breakfast included???? This place brings a whole new meaning to continental breakfast...cereal, fruit with flies all over it, tortillas & beans with rice. You can order eggs how you want, but only 2 & if you request anything special, it's an extra charge. The service is by far the worst I've experienced in all of Costa Rica, with the exception of Herold & Rene whose efforts just failed time & time again. If you want to relax by the pool, there are 4 broken lounge chairs. Enjoy.
