Great alternative to larger and all inclusive resorts. Because I was there during the wet season, often enjoyed the pool by ourselves and no problems with service. While I am sure the staff is smaller during these months, the hotel was more than adequately staffed and all services were available. Secure & quiet relative to other hotels in area, but still an excellent location. Staff was very friendly & helpful, especially Henry @ reception in the evening and the on-site massage therapist, whose name I can't recall. My suggestion to visitors is that while the restaurant is adequate for breakfast & included, if you want something a little different or with a little more charm or authentic, venture into town. Drinks tend to be slow to arrive at the pool, but always delivered with a smile. If you want them quicker, I would suggest ordering and waiting at bar, which is right up a few steps from the pool. Better location than the all inclusives in the area if you want to explore, try restaurants or enjoy night life...walkable to almost everything.

Horrible stay and inappropriate staff. I wrote a review about my experience at their hotel and it was not a glowing one. The director of relations actually went through my history and said I lied about my review because I was in two countries at the same time. I sat down and wrote my reviews of the trips I took over the summer and was not in two countries at the same time, they were just posted in the same day. Instead of being professional and addressing that the hotel is not five stars... NOT EVEN CLOSE, they attacked me and asked if I was a hired reviewer. This should show people that they shouldn't stay here and this place is EXTREMELY unprofessional.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful views and garden. Delicious breakfast options available. Very nice room. Private beach was easy to access, and wifi worked throughout the area.

Great food, rooms and hospitality. Relaxing is what comes to mind. They have a Private landing on the beach and private walkway to the main Street.

We booked last minute and weren't disappointed. It was a lovely, lovely hotel. Great rooms and service. Lovely gardens and a very nice breakfast buffet. We will definitely book again when we come to Tamarindo next.
