Just wow. I will admit I was skeptical considering the place is located in a mall. However, this was one of the best Italian meals, and meals overall, I've ever had, including in Italy. This is not the Americanized Italian fare that you usually find in the States, this was the real deal. In addition to the food being great, the service and personal attention from chef Giuseppe were unbelievable. We ordered mostly the specials that he recommended, including the wine, while the kids had pizza. The portions are perfectly sized - you don't leave hungry but don't end up with a truckload of leftovers either. Just as we were debating whether or not to share a dessert, Giuseppe appeared with four small canolli (on the house) which was the perfect way to wrap the meal (accompanied by the best espresso this side of Milan). If I ever find myself in Tamarindo again this is the one place I would definitely eat in.
