Offered a pick up service in old town rovinj. They were not organized and didn't send enough vehicles to pick up the people waiting, so they asked us to wait "5 minutes" (even though we were there first). We were meant to be picked up at 10:00 and it turned out to be 10:30 instead. Then we waited in line along with about 4 other groups at the rental agency. Each group was processed painfully slowly. There were about 4 staff on the premises yet they could only help 1 group at a time it seemed. They processed a return that arrived after us before we were helped. It was over an hour after arriving at the agency before we got on the road. What should have taken about 30 mins all in took about 2 hours. They also "upgraded" us to a different vehicle (because they didn't have ours). It was not anything like the model we would have preferred as requested in our booking. Part of the reason it may have taken so long was also that they were aggressively upselling each customer on fuel and insurance coverage. We declined these things but they still kept pushing. This company needs to work on its efficiency and customer service.

We rented a car at Sixt for two days for 90 euro through the portal check24. The online offer included full insurance. When we arrived at the Sixt we were told that the offer was not valid and for the 90 euro it would not include full insurance of Sixt. In the end in total we were charged 140 Euro for a two day rental for the smallest car. I have rented cars in more than 10 holiday destinations. I have never paid so much before in my life. The car worked well but we were completely screwed. I would not recommend to go there to rent a car.
