Restaurace Masné krámy

I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant after reading the reviews saying "you must go here" from every tourist. Having lived in the Czech Republic a while now it seems that whenever a place is in a tourist area and is pushing some historical story it's usually a tourist trap.
I went in anyway, just to have a beer and check it out but was pleasantly surprised. The interior is well done to maintain historical elements without being to kitschy. It was slightly more expensive than an average Czech pub but if your from North America you will still find the prices cheap compared to back home.
We ended up having a couple beers as well as the pickled cheese and the 3 spread platter and both were really great! I would definitely recommend going here during your visit!

Very good food and beer, nice setting, the staff can be more friendly and attentive. Still recommend also for larger groups, but make reservation!

If you not visit Masné krámy it's like you never been in České Budejovice
The beer is served from the tank ,that's what make the beer the best

This restaurant is perfectly licated downtown and other than a characteristic architecture offers traditional Czech cusine and local beer. Eating there was a great experience

Quite rude staff, especially the redhead did her best to ignore me. I ordered the unfiltered beer but got the normal one. Even though the other waitress wasn't that bad (but still not friendly) we didn't fell welcome at all.
