The front desk staff were all very lovely and welcoming, but unfortunately they could not make up for the hotel itself. The room my partner and I got was very small which we expected, however the lighting was poorly coordinated. If one of us needed to use the washroom in the middle of the night we had to blind the person still sleeping with the full room lights otherwise the bathroom light would not work. Also the shower in the room was cold and hardly had any water pressure which made for a miserable shower experience.
They charge an exorbant amount for parking. Also the morning we were there we asked twice if the breakfast was included in our stay and twice we were told it was and that there was no charge. When we checked out we were hit with an extra 267 krone on our bill for breakfast which kills when you only had one small bowl of oatmeal and a piece of bread.
Also the reason we even chose to stay at this hotel was to see the amusement park at the Tivoli Gardens which I asked about before we checked in and the staff member assured me it would still be open that night. Found out after paying that it was closed and that was very disappointing. I realise that the responsibility is on both parties but I feel like he could have double checked at least before we spent so much money for so little in return.

Great location, great staff. Rooms are cozy, really interesting info on the furniture designers. Problems with the shower, and construction noises at 9am on a Sunday.

Inspired and welcoming! Even though I booked a tiny room, the hygge was strong. If you're looking for an authentic meaningful place to stay in Copenhagen, this is it. The staff was low key but welcoming. I enjoyed a free glass of wine in the lobby while listening to the Beatles White Album. Lovely vibe!

What a disappointment!! Friends recommended this hotel to us but the room we received was more like a room on a ship. The bathroom had a tiny sink and toilet with a floor drain to hose yourself down as the entire bathroom was a shower. Jasper the rude and condescending man at the front desk should leave the hotel business as he made our experience and others even worse. We checked out the next day and had a wonderful stay at the the much more professional and lovely Avenue Hotel.

Cute boutique hotel. Old fashioned keys gives it throwback charm. The focus on environmental friendliness is backed up by incentivizing guests to be green (many other hotels "green" policies just seem like cost cutting for their bottom line, but Alexandra puts their money where their mouth is.) On the other hand, lack of air conditioning means an open window to a busy street to stay cool. With temps in the 60's (F) that was manageable but would be tricky if warmer.
