Simple place at a nice location by the harbor. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for foodies but if you're fine with a nice pizza, pasta or steak you won't be disapointed. Staff don't seem to know to much about beverages but are very polite and helpful.

Nice hotel near the harbor with both a good bar and a restaurant. Good menu og several local beers.

The tourist office boasts that there is no crime on the island. $200 a day rental cars?! $60 dinners featuring only one main course and two small sides?! No crime, my ass! This place would make restaurant owners and Auto rental franchisees on Nantucket and Prince Edward Island look on with envy.
A rare exception is the hotel torshavn. It is a very Solid 3 Star Plus affair in the center of town, featuring small, very clean rooms, very soft comfortable beds and modern, though not plentiful, furniture. $136 per night, including an abundant breakfast w/ cold, nondescript eggs.
Very pleasant front desk staff, but no exercise room.
Good, but expensive restaurants within easy walking distance. A fine view of the seaport.
The one major down: on Friday and Saturday nights, the local bars let out anytime from Midnight to 4 a.m. In spite of excellent soundproofing at the hotel, the noise permeates. 'Good chance you'll be woken up a few times. Sadly, not much this hotel can do about that.

We didn't stay here, but used the restaurant while spending the afternoon in Torshavn. The salad bar was really good and reasonably priced and we had a pizza which was tasty.
