We returned the car rental and accidentally left a phone it. They lied and said they didn't see it. Thieves and liars, no wonder they're middle aged men working at a car rental place. Paris has become a dump.

Reserved weeks in advance - they called 10 minutes before the pickup time to say the only car they have available was in the airport! Avoid!

AVOID HERTZ HERE AT ALL COSTS!
Returning the car is a nightmare here. No instructions, and the place they tell you to fuel up before returning is completely awful. There is always a massive line and they don't let you know that it is cash only or that you will have major difficulties so that they can rack up massive fees when you don't fill up all the way. It took us a full hour to try to fuel up there with the line and in the end we didn't have enough cash to finish filling up and all the people behind us were yelling at us and threatening us that we had to be done and not try to go back to fill up the rest of the way. So we were short a few liters and got charged $105 dollars for it!! Our contract said 2.36/liter not filled but they charged us over 10/liter and we are disputing it. The whole thing was a horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE. Try renting from a different car rental company in a better part of Paris and you will be much happier I promise.
