The Musée National des Arts Asiatiques aka Musée Guimet is simply a must see when.in Paris. If you've been to Asia before, some of the pieces will be familiar, still the place remains fascinating, both historically and artistically. It takes a good two hours to discover the whole museum at slow pace.

Impressive permanent collection, fascinating and exceptional items. I feel descriptions of some items could benefit from detailing more their uses and history as well as the usual facts about materials, regions and datation.

Lots of great things to see from China, Japan, India and many more Asian countries. Careful it takes time and starts evacuating early.

Wonderful place: good price (9.5€), perfect arrangement, good mix of ancient art and temporary modern art (just a few). Restaurant (Asian) is okay. A must see.

I went to see the Korean collections but it was closed. So I asked the guy who was warning people at the gallery to 'speak slowly..not quiet?!' about why Korean section was closed and he said 'It's not my fault. I only came to work this afternoon.' It was the least professional answer I've ever heard and even rude. I went downstairs to figure out what's going on with the Korean section and one of the clerk said it's because they don't have enough staff to guard and there is no way they will open it that day so I just wasted my valuable time and money. Very excited to see Guimet Museum but it was my biggest disappointment during my trip to Paris.
