A great location with friendly staff, outdoor beer garden and indoor live music. However, we experienced a chaotic evening with a large shortage of staff and a horrific organisation behind the bar. Food was standing around, people waited for their drinks for ages and we waited to pay for 30minutes! All this does not contribute to customer satisfaction which is why I can only give 2 stars.
In short, the management of the bar needs to improve considerably so that the place can live up to its good reputation that it still seems to enjoy, despite what we experienced there last Friday.

I have been to this place three times: twice in the beer garden (which was lovely although service was always kind of slow) and once inside the place. The latter was deeply disappointing. We went to celebrate my mom's birthday and had called before to let them know about the occasion, hoping that this information would trigger the common decency of whoever is in charge of the bookings to not give us the shittiest table of the whole place. Well, when we got there, a lady let us to two round tables, haphazardly thrown together and featuring a 10cm difference in height. When I asked to please at least have two tables of the same height, reiterating that we were celebrating a birthday, the blonde manager (?) didn't even understand our concern and rudely responded that this is "Kneipen-style" ... Your typical Berlin rudeness in its least charming form. Eventually we got two tables of the same height but the setup was so that we couldn't really talk to anyone but our immediate neighbours (think about awkwardly placing five people around two medium sized round tables). The waiter also forgot one of our orders, which, following the disrespect we experienced earlier, wasn't that much of a big deal. In the end, I really regretted booking this place for my mother's birthday as it's clearly run like a sausage factory. Maybe the regulars get better treatment.

Very interesting place, with great food, special Berliner dark beer and fair prices. Cool jazz live music during the week. I will come back for sure!

Great atmosphere, good live music you can hear from its biergarten outside while talking with friends. Had a great time there. Inside seats can be booked when there are live music.
