This is the KaDeEast! Just like the KaDeWe of East-Berlin! They had been founded just for the Potemkin villages of the glory communism of former East-Germany ... and the locals on this side of the iron curtain belief in the show of a handful of champagne and vodkas ... and bananas, indeed. By the way, the KaDeEast get a lot of overhaul, and now it's really amazing and big superstore. The architecture inside is great and you get wonderful top view to the Alexanderplatz and the TV-tower too, just visit the restaurant at 5th level!
