I was with my husband and son for five days in Derag Living Hotel in Berlin Mitte. I must say our experience there was excellent. Starting from the interior of the appartment which was spacious, clean an overal very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location amazing. Our overall experience with the hotel was wonderful and we are definitely going to stay in this hotel when we visit Berlin sgain and warmly recommend to everyone planning a trip to Berlin.

The hotel is well located and we were given quite big room since we were a family. But one room had inadequate fresh air and the room was really stuffy. Daily cleaning service was pretty poor as we stayed there for four nights, but the small soaps were not replaced until our checking out. Moreover, the breakfast service was considerably poor as one should wait for long time until a plate or a piece of bread become ready. At the same time, there was lack of primary stuff randomly, such as white cheese, tomato, cucumber, bread, egg, yoghurt and so forth. Some glasses of marmalade were surrounded by lots of flies which was really disgusting.

I stayed for 18 days on a business trip combined with some holiday in one of the apartments overlooking the Spree river. The hotel is conveniently located next to a U-Bahn station, the personnel is courteous and the room is basic but fine. The building has some old charm for those who care about it, but it is well maintained. The washer and dryer in the basement is very useful for long stays.

The rooms were spacious and clean and the free water and beer were a nice touch. The street outside was quite noisy at night, but with the windows closed you couldn't hear any of it. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The location was great and was just a across the street from the U2 metro line that will bring you into the center or to the west side of berlin. Overall I would say it is a great hotel! .
