The red Ibis (I don't understand their naming conventions) nearby is actually better. Apparently "Ibis Styles" means "a slightly larger room with green LEDs in exchange for a shite breakfast with nothing hot except a boiled egg, and trains roaring past the window every five minutes".

Even though the position is rather difficult when it comes to sound levels during night time it's very clean and the staff friendly.

Great location for a short stay, right next to the station. Lots of fast food restaurants around and just 10 minutes away from great restaurants. Good breakfast. Room not very comfortable.

the hotel is just next door of Bochum station exit. the room face station plaza is bigger and experience better than the one face railway platform. the breakfast is good, and there is self service of free tea in lobby.
