While the rental portion went fine and smooth, the worker at the desk was not. Not only did he ignore the buzzer to allow the can into the parking lot, he still took about 5 minutes to buzz in my friend (who I told him was waiting at the entrance). What he waited for, I'll never know. He was very put off that he had to remove his headphones to speak to me as well. And insistent that he hasn't heard the buzzer at the parking gate...

Ich miete meine Sixt-Fahrzeuge immer über diese Station an und kann den Kritiken bezüglich der Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter überhaupt nicht zustimmen. Ich bin dort immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt worden. Auf Vorbeschädigungen am Fahrzeug wurde auch immer hingewiesen. Auch die Fahrzeuge selbst waren immer top. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Erreichbarkeit der Station. Wenn man mit dem Zug oder dem ÖPNV anreist, ist der Weg vom Deutzer Bahnhof bzw sogar von den Haltestellen der 1/9 und 3/4 einfach zu weit. Ich möchte diesen Weg nicht mit viel Gepäck laufen müssen. Und wenn man dazu nicht aus Köln kommt, ist die Station auch recht schwer zu finden. Trotzdem bekommt die Station von mir 5 Sterne, da ich wegen dem Weg auch eine andere Station in Köln wählen könnte.

Horrible!
In short, an employee redirected me to another station without reason and what I was told would happen was false.
I called to make a reservation and on the phone I told the woman that I would be paying in cash the next day. When the time came I arrived at this station. An employee searched for my name and then told me I was at the wrong station, to take a taxi to the Maritime station (where there is another Sixt), and that the fee for my taxi would be reimbursed at the Maritime Sixt station.
I did this and upon arriving at the Maritime station that lady there told me "No, your vehicle is at the station you just came from." I asked if I could pay here and she said credit cards only. I had no functioning card with me because I had been informed on the phone that cash would be okay, so I said, "Fine, but please reimburse my taxi ride as was promised."
She says no because I don't have a credit card, so you can't get a vehicle, so we won't reimburse you.
Moral of story: If you dislike bad customer service don't use Sixt.
