Nach dem Umbau haben wir nach langer Zeit mal wieder bei brot&butter gefrühstückt.
Es ist größer geworden, man bekommt eher einen Platz.
Leider hat die Qualität des Frühstücks sehr stark abgenommen.
Das Brot ist weiterhin sehr lecker.
Frisch gepresster Orangensaft, der nicht frisch gepresst war für 4,80 € völlig überteuert und die Menge von Wurst- und Käseauswahl in Relation zum Brot eher überschaubar. Man sitzt in einem Geschäft und nicht in einem 5 ***** Haus. Der ehemals leckere Wintertee mit frischem Ingwer, Minze und frisch gepresstem Orangensaft wird mit wenig Ingwer und 2 Orangenscheiben ohne Minze als geschmackloses lauwarmes Wasser zum gleichen Preis wie früher an den Tisch gebracht.
Schaade! - Frühstücken kann man dort nicht mehr! - Schaade!

frisch gepressten Orangensaft mit 6,50€ und belegte Brotscheiben für 7€: kann man sich nicht immer leisten. Für Geschäftsleute entspannter Treffpunkt....

Nice place just few steps away from the Koenigsallee (famous shopping street in Dusseldorf). It is really difficult to get a table since usually crowded. The bread and the cold meat are really tasteful as well as the marmalade and the butter. Everything is pricey. The quality of the food is better anyway of the quality of the warm drinks: I was expecting more “coffee taste” in my latte macchiato and also the hot chocolate of my wife did not leave the sign. Anyway if you want to have a nice “different” breakfast maybe this place could be a solution.
