Der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich, doch leider war der gebuchte MB Sprinter zur vereinbarten Zeit nicht da. Nach einer halben Stunde Diskussion, ob wir nicht einen kleineren Vito nehmen könnten, war der gewünschte Sprinter doch da. Dieses Fahrzeug sollte nach 500 km Laufzeit eigentlich zur Inspektion, da einiges am Sprinter nicht ok sei.
Wir sind mit dem Fahrzeug ca. 270 km gefahren, ohne jegliche Probleme. Warum also das ganze hin und her?

Be careful of this dealer if you book a rental car through Expedia.
I rent a car to be picked up from this Hertz and also bought the international collision insurance via Expedia. When I get there to get the car, the staff A told me I need car insurance in order to get the car. I showed the print out of my reservation from Expedia showing my purchase of international collision insurance but the staff said I need to print out the detail/book of the insurance policy covered. The staff asked me to purchase the car insurance from Hertz at the spot and cancelled it afterwards if I can show one of the following 3 options: (1) the detail of international car collision insurance policy I purchased from Expedia (2) my car insurance policy from home (which does not make sense at all as most US car insurance only cover incidents occur at home not oversea) (3) rental car coverage from credit card. So I did that. Later that night, I called Expedia back in USA and ask them to send the detail insurance policy to my email so I can have the hotel print it out for me and give to Hertz the next day.
So, guess what happened the next day. Staff B told me Hertz does not accept the car insurance I purchased from Expedia and it only accept rental car coverage from credit card and he said this happens all the time. I was so up set because what Staff B told me is different than Staff A and if this happens all the time why don't Staff A just tell me Hertz only accept insurance coverage on credit card at the first place. Fortunately my friend has international roaming on his phone so I found the policy for Visa Signature credit card which includes rental car insurance and resolve the issue. However, this is very bad rental car experience in the sense that the staff A gave wrong information at the first place and the altitude of the staff B is just not acceptable.
In the other hand, the car insurance offered by Expedia is just useless in the situation. Just to give people a heads up. This can be very upsetting when you are on a trip oversea.

I have used Europecar and had no issues on my long term 28day rentals. The price is better too!
Remember, Hertz is an American Company so expect American service with the attitude.
