Very good for the price of 6,50€ / person. Not like madame tussauds but it has its own kind of magic in there :)

This place is DISGUSTING! Let me describe the situation we encountered there last Saturday. We went in, because we thought that it would be a good place to finish our walk around Sankt Pauli. The entrance price was fine, the personnel spoke English and gave us a free audio guide, so we didn't expect anything bad. However, we were sooo wrong! As soon as we got to the second floor, we saw that there is a scene with all the Nazis and other dictators from WW2 and people were taking group photos with them! We felt really saddened about this, especially my boyfriend since he still (!) has some Jewish family members. Afterwards we decided to leave this place, so we got downstairs to return the audio guide at the counter. As I was waiting for my turn, a man from the group taking photos with the Nazis was making his way to the exit and he yelled "Heil Hitler!! either at me or at the museum's employee! I am not sure whether he overheard the conversation I had with my boyfriend, or whether he was "just racist" towards the museum's employee, as she seemed to be Eastern European (Romanian?). This was such a terrible experience, it feels so surreal,. Nobody said a word to this guy! This whole situation left me just wondering about this place - why would you place waxworks of Nazis and collect entrance fee, but you won't place there any waxworks of Holocaust victims if you really want to work with this topic??? Why won't you build a scene with the gas chambers of Auschwitz if you are so willing to earn money with this wrecked ideology??? And please say to your employee that we felt really bad about the whole situation, we were too shocked to talk to her or to stay in that place any second longer! And to the prospective visitors: DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!
