If You want the best: this's absolutely the place
My family and I was at Butchers yesterday and it was worth every cent.!

A great place for steaks in Hamburg. We went there for a dinner with friends from the US and their were amazed. The staff is experienced and welcoming, the setting is perfect and the chairs are very comfortable. The four star rating is just because of one tiny thing: the food could be a little more flavorful. The prices are reasonable.

Very good steak house, good food and good atmosphere. The waiters offers a really good service. They explain in detail the differences between the different kinds of meat cuts and the starters are to die for.

We had high expectations, as Butchers steak house supposed to be the best steak restaurant in Hamburg. The interior is not impressive and lack the exclusivity of a luxury steak restaurant. The presentation of the meat was fine. The quality of the meat was good (had Rib-eye, 400g) but lack real taste. Also the cook had some difficulties to cook the meat as ordered. The Sauce béarnaise was a true disaster and did not have any similarity to béarnaise – not even the color. The Wine list is limited and the wines are heavily overpriced and they do not have the right glasses for it.
If you have tried Grill Royal in Berlin or MASH in Denmark you know how a good steak should be and the service as well.

Excellent atmosphere and service. Steaks are large and juicy although not the highest quality. Had a 600g Ribeye that had more than usual tendon and fat. Taste was good though and so were the side dishes. Plenty of decent wine to choose from. All in all, good or very good but it comes at a top price so value for money. Probably not!
