Ok. So where do I start... first of all good stuff:
1. I called really spintaneously to get a pedicure done, and they had time for me, which was really nice
2. The Shop itself is also really good, except the smell of fake nail, which ist probably normal, for those kind of areas.

This is pretty much it.

Now to the bad stuff:

1. As I walked in and got my pedi done all the other custumors were staring at me as if I was an alien, which is not actually the fault of the salon but it made me feel really uncomfortable.

2. I didn't get offered nothing to drink or anything to read.

3. My pedi was so freaking horrible. For the instance my right foot has neurodermia, this is why it gets really bad already after a week, so only for one foot, it should have taken her at least 20 minutes, to get it done. She managed everything (the massage also) in 15!!! I was like what ? This is crazy. She didn't even take my nail-polish off. So as I came home, it took me at least 40 minutes to get everything redone again.

4. 30€?! The heck ? For washing my feet ? No thank you.

Conclusion: it is a really sweet place with really bad workers and vibe.

Note: I also can speak German, wrote this in English so everyone could understand.

They accidentally cut my finger (while removing the nail polish). They were polite and gave me a plaster, but their comment was that "it happens sometimes" and intended to continue as if nothing happened...

I have gone to many nail salons in five different countries over the last ten years and I have never had such a bad experience as this one. I have never written a bad review. :( :( :( Apparently the girl who did my nails is new, but she needs better training and the other staff did not help resolve the situation satisfactorily.
1. The woman doing my appointment cut my nails VERY short, to the point that they hurt when I type! I don't speak German, so when she held up the clippers I just nodded, thinking she would trim them reasonably. They are also not filed well at all, very jagged. I could do it better at home.
2. I had made my appointment online and had noted that I wanted French gel polish, not realizing that one full hour would not be enough for a mani/pedi with polish (it's been enough time in every other country I've had it in). The woman did my mani/pedi with no polish. At the end I asked timidly, nicely, for French on just the fingers at least. This caused a long intense conversation between the two women working, apparently because they were closing and didn't want to do it but didn't tell me that.
3. A second woman came over to do my polish, and instead of explaining nicely that they didn't have time, waited till she was partway through it to start complaining to me that I was making her late getting home to her baby. It was a terribly awkward position to be in.
4. I started realizing how horrifyingly short my nails were cut, and the French finish looked really ridiculous on the short cut. The girl asked me if I liked them and I had to be honest that no, I hated them and how ugly they made my hands look. She suggested I come back tomorrow, but I explained that I had to work. I did not ask her to take it back off, but again she tried to convince me that it looked okay, and I said I hated it, and she took it back off. She ground it off with a dremel tool that has left my nails rough and more misshapen. When I thanked her for taking it off at least, she just started complaining again about how late it was.
5. I got to pay for the pleasure of my nails being hacked up, as the woman and her manager (whom we called) both insisted that since the job was technically done and I hadn't objected to my nails being cut, I should pay. I've emailed back and forth with the manager and even sent her photos of how bad my nails look, for which she apologized profusely but has not offered a refund.

I am American so I know my cultural background is different, but in my country we would be ashamed to make a customer pay for such a terrible job. Do yourself a favor and skip this salon!

Edit after seeing owner's reply:
I don't know why you think I blackmailed you, except that I let you know I would write an honest review unless you refunded my money to show that you understood how unacceptable the experience was. The owner did email me several times to apologize, just no refund or other reparation. I did not get a free treatment - the worker said I should pay even though the results were terrible, and I did!! - And I definitely did not treat your workers like slaves. Your suggestion is an insult to anyone who has experienced slavery. I never even asked her to work over time, I would have been happy to end the treatment at any time and not pay for the terrible job. She only started complaining about the time partway through the treatment, putting me in a very awkward position.

Anyone reading this, I am really usually a normal easy to please customer and usually love my salon experiences. I recommend trying the Urban Spa Lounge not far away on Völckersstraße - lovely staff and much more skilled!
