A historical place: Rooms with high ceiling, Spa and warm swimming pool.....It is very old but maintained very well.

The good: beautiful historic building. Wonderful staff and huge, beautiful rooms.
The bad: HVAC issues. The first room we were allocated was gorgeous, but must have been at least 25c. No problems we thought - turn down the thermostat and wait for it to cool. After about 4 hours of sweating we called the front desk only to learn the A/C is non-functional due to the ‘time of year’. Regardless of the time of year, the room was way too hot to spend any length of time in - let alone try to sleep. The staff were very good and quickly moved us to another room which was slightly cooler, but still no working A/C. We were forced to sleep with the windows wide open which lead to a couple of bad nights sleep due to drunken people on the street outside etc. Don’t expect this in a 5* hotel... wouldn’t even expect this in a $60/night roadside motel that advertises it has A/C.
