I give 2 out of 5 stars because I have also had some nice but sadly mostly bad experience with this branch of Deutsche Bank.

First of all there is this old chubby lady who has this passive agressive aura around her. The way she behaves and treats you as if you are stupid (sure, not all of us are knowledgable if banking and accounting; if we were, we wouldn't need people to advise us now, would we?) is unaceptable and from what I've read here I'm not the only one who thinks that. One time she asked me if I speak English so that she can tell me something that I didn't get in German (I have excellent German skills, have learned the language for 18-19 years, have lived in Germany for 10; I'm writing this review in English so that foreigners can also understand what I'm writing about). I replied that it's not the language barrier we have a problem with but rather the terminology (banking-related) and the way she explains things.

Next on the list comes the waiting...the long, long waiting. I would feel happy if I get my chance to contact one of the employees within 20 minutes or so after joining the usually long queue. It's very often that I see just a single desk being occupied...out of 4 plus 1 for information which makes 5 in total. The poor management also reflects on appointments that you have scheduled weeks ago. I arrive 5 minutes before my appointment. It took little more than 20 minutes for someone to notice me standing in front of the (as usual) empty information desk and lead me to the person whom I had the appointment with. I had to applogize and explain me being late with 15 minutes even though I arrived BEFORE the actual appointment so that I'm not late! Unacceptable. Putting your customer in a position where he has to appologize for your screw-ups is just appauling.

The working hours are also not good especially considering the fact that Deutsche Bank doesn't have subsidiaries (like some other banks) in less populated areas (small towns) which means that you either have to go for the phone banking (not a fan of it to be hones), or the online banking, or go to Karlsruhe if you still value the personal contact with people you do business with. After a recent change in the working hours there is even less time to deal with customers in person. No idea who made this in my opinion inadequate decision.

The 2 stars come from the fact that I have also had some good experience too. When you schedule an appointment and get to it the customer service is actually more than adequate. I had 5-6 meetings in the last 10 years or so and I always got what I went for. Example: I went for the indemnity insurance - to ask questions about it, what their partner in Zurich offers etc. The employee was extremely polite, friendly and open to questions. Some of the questions needed more detail than he was able to provide. His reaction: immediately called a colleague, who specializes in this sort of things, who came right away and gave me a very detailed yet easy to understand overview. I wish that this sort of service was also at the front and not only at the back of this branch.

I would suggest at least putting some sort of a notification system which will allow employees who have scheduled appointments that their customers have arrived. Also pointing out that "You can use phone banking." or "You can do online banking" all the time is not very helpful. I don't want to spend several hours researching this and that, then spending extra time to find it in the web portal and finally doing what I wanted to instead of getting a fast answer from a competent employee.

Staff are less friendly they ll come to you and just tell you as if they saxing out of the script. Not at all sympathetic and worse customer service

Slow couldn't care less attitude. It takes weeks to get some things done here which when considered to the minimal opening times, makes matters worse. Don't bank here or at least, take food and drink so you can survive until you're seen to.
