I never tried the sushi at KAORU, but therefore many other Japanese dishes and in my experience there is no better Japanese restaurant in the whole Mannheim-Heidelberg area. The taste of the food is very similar to what you get in Japan!

This was the best sushi we've had in Germany so far. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed a very pleasant meal talking with one of the chefs.

Ok not great. Expensive as portions were small for the price. Not the greatest sushi either. Kind of bland, I won't be back.
