Recently I had to do a test as part of the tests for a correct diagnosis, and, having called my insurer, TK, I knew they would cover the costs as the test was medically important (notwedig). However, arriving at the practice I was told that they only accept private payment and wouldn't do it through TK. After having taken time off work and spending 16h without a drop of water, I decided to pay and ask for a reimbursement from TK. For that, I asked for a letter stating the importance of the test, for which they WANTED TO CHARGE 12€. This is dishonest, to say the least. I have never seen a doctor charge for a letter, specially when they should accept the insurance card and don't. And apparently TK will not reimburse as the doctor should have done through the insurance, so I'm stuck with the bill.
Not only that, it took them 10 days to call me with the results. Even though I called and asked for it, the secretary refused to give me the results of the test I had to pay for. She said the results were there, but I had to wait for a call from the doctor. This is immoral!
Although the doctor seems to be a pleasant person, I could not recommend someone that clearly cannot be trusted to treat her patients with respect.
